The US and Brazil called on Russia to stop supporting Maduro

The United States Secretary of state Michael Pompeo and Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo promised to continue working together to confront the crisis in Venezuela.

Michael Pompeo and Ernesto Araujo have stated the need for “external forces” such as Cuba, Russia and China to stop providing assistance to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This is stated the press service of the state Department following a telephone conversation between the foreign Ministers of the two countries.

“The Secretary of state Michael Pompeo spoke today with Minister of foreign Affairs of Brazil Ernesto Araujo. They reaffirmed the close friendship between the United States and Brazil and pledged to continue working together to confront the political, economic and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, as well as its impact on Venezuela’s neighbors. They also confirmed the need for external forces, including Cuba, Russia and China, to stop supporting Nicolas Maduro”, the statement said.
