The US Air Force launched strikes on the Syrian-Iraqi border with the use of drones

According to the Al Hadath TV channel, the vehicles of the 14th brigade of the Shiite militia carrying weapons were attacked, one of which was severely damaged.

The US Air Force launched a series of strikes on the positions of the Iraqi Shiite militia Al-Hashd al-Shaabi on the border of Iraq and Syria. This was reported on Sunday by the Al Hadath TV channel.

According to his sources, the vehicles of the 14th brigade of the Shiite militia carrying weapons were attacked, one of which was severely damaged. There was no information about the victims and wounded among the fighters of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi.

Meanwhile, as reported by the Syrian state agency SANA, a truck with food was also hit by a drone in the area of the city of Bou Kemal, located near the border with Iraq, in the province of Deir Ez-Zor. As a result of the attack, the vehicle was destroyed, no casualties were reported.

This is not the first such incident involving the US military in recent times. So, on the night of June 28, US Air Force planes carried out airstrikes on the positions of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi on the border of Iraq and Syria. As a result of the attack, at least four militia fighters were killed. In addition, as reported by SANA, a child was killed in Syria, three more people were injured. In response, the armed groups of the so-called Iraqi resistance (an association of Shiite militias in the Arab Republic) declared an “open war” against the US Armed Forces with specific operations directed against the American presence in the country.
