The US administration has distributed $372 billion in aid in connection with COVID-19

To date, 156 million checks have been sent to Americans.

The Biden administration said on Wednesday that, in the course of implementing the law on payments to Americans of $ 1.9 trillion in economic assistance in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, an additional 25 million checks were sent to recipients for a total of $36 billion.

The Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration informed the recipients of this, the fourth batch of checks. With this data, the number of checks distributed so far totaling $ 372 billion has reached 156 million.

The last payments in this framework began to be made last Friday, and, according to the Ministry of Finance, in some cases, the money was directly transferred to the accounts of recipients.

After the blows inflicted by the pandemic, the US economy is gradually recovering. During the last month, 916,000 new jobs were created; the unemployment rate in the country fell to 6%.
