The US accelerated deployment of additional forces on the border with Mexico

The US Secretary of homeland security Kirstjen Nielsen instructed to accelerate the deployment of additional forces along the southern border of the country, CNN reports.

“Secretary of homeland security Kirstjen Nielsen on Monday (April 1) instructed the US customs and border control service to accelerate the planned increase of 750 officers to assist the US border patrol along the southern border, where there is an influx of migrants heading to the US from Mexico”, the text says.

Earlier, the American leader Donald Trump criticized the Mexican authorities for the lack of progress in the fight against illegal migrants coming from Mexican territory to the United States.

At the same time, he also did not rule out that he would close the southern border.
