Deputy Secretary of State David Hale will lead the American delegation at the virtual forum.

Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale will lead the American delegation to the international conference on Afghanistan, held on November 23-24 in a virtual format.

This was announced on Sunday by a representative of the State Department.

This is the sixth conference, which is held every four years with about 70 countries and international organizations to coordinate international support for the development of Afghanistan.

The government of Afghanistan organizes the conference, the government of Finland, and the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.

Hale will make a statement on behalf of the United States and present a video message from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The conference will also include a side event organized by the United States on economic priorities and aid effectiveness assessment. John Barsa, acting deputy head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will give an opening speech.
