The United States imposed sanctions against the FSB Institute of Criminology and the Institute of Experimental Military Medicine.

The U.S. authorities are imposing restrictions on nine Russians, including employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation, whom they consider to be involved in the incident with blogger Alexey Navalny, and four organizations. This is stated in a statement issued on Friday by the U.S. Department of State.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the sanctions will affect “nine Russian individuals and four organizations.” According to Washington, the organizations “developed Russia’s potential in the field of chemical weapons.”
