The United States announced the establishment of the Commission for the control systems of the Boeing 737 MAX

The Federal civil aviation Agency (FAA) of the United States announced the creation of a Commission to monitor the modernization of Boeing 737 MAX airliner systems. It is reported by CNBC.

It will also include representatives of the National Aeronautics and space administration (NASA) and international aviation regulators. Also, the Commission will include representatives of Canada. The Commission will be headed by the former Chairman of the National Council for transport security Chris Hart.

The Board will assess the performance of the automated MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System) system to determine its compliance with all applicable regulations and to identify future improvements that may be required. It is believed that because of MCAS could happen two plane crashes involving Boeing 737 MAX.

After the last plane crash, many countries banned 737 MAX flights over their territories, and Boeing suspended deliveries of these Airliners. The company has also developed an update for MСAS. Boeing also plans to install a warning system on the 737 MAX models, which will inform pilots about technical problems that could cause accidents in Indonesia and Ethiopia.
