The United States and Russia continue consultations on the DPRK

The US presidential administration continues consultations with Russia and other countries on the denuclearization of North Korea despite the lack of success in the six-party talks. This was stated by the adviser to the US President on national security John Bolton.

“The six-party format has not produced results in the past, but this does not mean that we do not consult with other countries. On Friday, the President discussed this with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe; we are consulting with Russia, China, South Korea,” Bolton said on Sunday in an interview with Fox News.

He also said that the US President Donald Trump “is considering the possibility of holding a third summit with the head of the DPRK Kim Jong-un.”
