The UN will create a Fund to help developing countries in the fight against coronavirus

According to the UN Secretary-General, it is necessary to act decisively now, otherwise, the coronavirus can take hold in the most vulnerable countries.

US Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for $ 2 billion to create a special fund to help the world’s most vulnerable countries cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

COVID-19 threatens all of humanity, and therefore all of humanity must fight back,” Guterres said during an online press conference today. “The actions of individual countries will not be enough.”

$ 2 billion will be sent to 40 of the most vulnerable developing countries over the next nine months to prevent the spread of a respiratory virus.
