The UN Secretary-General condemned the terrorist attack in Afghanistan

The organization said that the explosion near the Kabul airport highlights the instability of the situation in the country.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday condemned “a terrorist act that killed and injured several civilians” near the airport in the Afghan capital Kabul, a UN representative said.

“This incident highlights the instability of the situation in Afghanistan, but also strengthens our resolve, while we continue to provide emergency assistance throughout the country in support of the Afghan people,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters.

According to him, as far as we know at the moment, none of the UN staff was injured as a result of the explosion.
