The UN demanded 10 billion dollars to fight the consequences of the coronavirus

To combat the humanitarian consequences of the coronavirus, more than $ 10 billion in funding is needed, said UN Deputy Head of humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator Mark Lowcock.

“The strategic support plan is 10 billion 300 million dollars,” Lowcock said.

He noted that these funds would help 61 of the most affected countries. At the moment, the UN has secured 1 billion 700 million dollars, said the Deputy Head of the UN.
