However, according to the British ambassador, British civilian aircraft may fly to Kabul this weekend.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, the last British plane that participated in the evacuation of foreigners and Afghans who worked with Western allies for 20 years left Kabul airport.
Most of the passengers were Afghans who worked with the British military.
The military has warned that civilian planes may fly to Kabul from London over the weekend to deliver diplomats and Afghan civilians to Britain. While at the airport, British Ambassador to Afghanistan Laurie Bristow said that now “the time has come to finish this stage of the operation.”
“But we haven’t forgotten the people who still need to leave,” Bristow said in a video message posted on Twitter. – We will continue to do everything possible to help them. We have not forgotten about the brave, decent people of Afghanistan. They deserve to live in peace and security.”
