The U.S. Air Force carried out strikes near the Kandahar airport

The U.S. military launched airstrikes on Taliban positions near the Kandahar airport in Afghanistan.

According to the Arab TV channel Al-Jazeera, there are wounded and dead among the members of the radical Taliban movement.

The U.S. Air Force has already attacked militant positions in the city of Mazar-I-Sharif, and then at least 30 members of the movement were killed.

Earlier it was reported about the capture of Kandahar by the Taliban.

The confrontation between the Taliban and government forces takes place against the background of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, which should be completed by September 11.
