“We were shocked when we heard the news about the death of two-time us champion in pair skating. We offer our deepest condolences to his father Mike, sister Angela, and to all members of his family. Out of respect for his family, we will not disclose the details of the death in the near future,” the Association said.

Coughlin was twice champion of the United States – in 2011, paired with Caitlin Yankowskas, in 2012-m – Caydee Denney, and also won silver in the championship of four continents in 2012.
