The temperature in Japan has risen above 40 degrees

The first case of a temperature rise above the 40-degree mark in 2021 was recorded in Japan on Sunday, NHK TV channel reports.

In particular, in the village of Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, the thermometer at the control station rose to 40.6 degrees.

In addition, temperatures above 35 degrees were recorded at 97 control stations across the country and above 30 degrees – at 556 stations.

Due to the ongoing hot weather, experts urge people to take precautions and drink more water.
