The substance “Novichok” was found on the water bottle of Navalny

According to Der Spiegel, this bottle was kept by relatives of the opposition leader.

The Novichok substance was found on a water bottle in the Tomsk hotel room where Alexey Navalny lived.

According to the official account of the opposition leader on Instagram, German experts found the poison during the study of this bottle.

It is noted that members of Navalny’s team took the bottle after reports that the opposition leader became ill in flight.

On the page, Navalny published a video that shows how employees of the Fund of struggle against corruption and the lawyers came into the room to the opposition.

“Almost immediately, the FBK employees who stayed in Tomsk learned about the incident. At this point, the only possible thing was done. They called a lawyer, went up to the room that Navalny had just left, and began recording, describing, and packing everything they found there. In particular, and the bottles of hotel water,” reads the post.

According to Der Spiegel, the bottle was kept by relatives of the opposition leader after becoming ill on the plane on August 20 and later handed over to doctors in Berlin.

However, the publication claimed that most likely, Navalny was not poisoned by the contents of the bottle: presumably, he drank from the bottle after the poison entered his body, leaving traces of the toxic substance on it.

The Russian side refutes the version with the poisoning of the oppositionist on the territory of the Russian Federation.
