The Simpsons actor is upset about the discrimination against whites

Fox executives decided a month ago that white actors would not be voicing characters from other races and nationalities on The Simpsons. Black actor Kevin Michael Richardson has already been hired to implement this decision, who will play the roles of all African American characters. At the same time, the voice actor of another popular Fox series “Family Guy” Mike Henry announced that he would stop voicing the black character:

I have been honored to voice Cleveland for 20 years. I love this character, but characters with a different skin color should be voiced by actors with the same skin color. Therefore, I am no longer involved in the work on this character.

This approach was opposed by actor Harry Shearer, who voices a large number of characters in The Simpsons: curmudgeon Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, and others, including the black doctor Julius Hibbert.

I have a very simple idea of acting. An actor’s job is to play someone that he is not. If variety is needed anywhere, it is among producers and screenwriters. People from all walks of life should be represented there so that they can decide which stories to tell.
