The shooting of Martin Scorsese’s film Killers of the Flower Moon has begun

In Oklahoma (USA), the shooting of Martin Scorsese’s film Killers of the Flower Moon, based on the 2017 book of the same name by David Grann, reports.

“We are very excited to start shooting Killers of the Flower Moon in Oklahoma finally,” Scorsese commented. “Being able to tell this story on the ground where the novel’s events took place is incredibly important to describe that time and people accurately.”

Grann’s novel is set in the Oklahoma of the 1920s, where the murders of members of the Osage Indian tribe who found oil on their territory take place. Bounty hunters from all over America begin to deal with them for money, but the main character comes to their aid.

Earlier it was expected that the key role would be played by the winner of the “Oscar” Leonardo DiCaprio. However, the actor decided not to star in the film Scorsese. He was replaced by Jesse Plemons, known for the projects “Breaking Bad” and “Fargo.”

It is known that Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Louis Cancelmi, and others will also appear in the film. The release date of the film has not yet been announced.
