Russian-American relations have deteriorated after a high-profile interview with US President Joe Biden, in which he said that Moscow will have to “pay the price” for the alleged interference in the US elections, and also allowed himself to make harsh statements about Russian President Vladimir Putin. After that, the Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, was invited to Moscow for consultations, where he has been since March 21. The US Ambassador to Moscow, John Sullivan, left for Washington on April 22 for consultations.
