The Russian bars chain wants to sue the brand Disney “The Little Mermaid”

The company “Hurma Management Group,” which owns the chain of bars “Dear, I’ll call you back,” asks the intellectual property Court to partially terminate the legal protection of the trademark “The Little Mermaid,” owned by the American company Disney Enterprises.

As follows from the published court ruling, according to the plaintiff, the disputed brand is not used by the defendant in one of the classes of services for which it is registered.

The lawsuit, in particular, refers to the 43rd class of ICGS, which includes services for providing food and beverages, eateries, cafes, cafeterias, restaurants, self-service restaurants, bar services, services for preparing meals and delivering them to the home, and others.

The claim was submitted on May 19 and is still left without movement by the court, since the plaintiff did not attach documents confirming the legal status of the defendant, as well as evidence of sending a copy of the claim to the defendant.
