The Russian ambassador flew to the United States

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov told that he is returning to Washington in an optimistic mood.

He has already scheduled several meetings. Antonov expects constructive cooperation.

“There is a lot of work to be done. We are counting on progress,” the diplomat said.

Antonov and the head of the American diplomatic mission in Moscow, John Sullivan, were previously summoned to their countries for consultations amid the deterioration of interstate relations. At a meeting in Geneva, Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden agreed to return the ambassadors to work.
