The release of the new version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be disrupted

A major update for Cyberpunk 2077 may be delayed until 2022.

The release of new versions of the games Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 on consoles was in danger of disruption. The VGC publication reports this.

During an appeal to shareholders, representatives of the CD Projekt RED studio said that a major update for Cyberpunk 2077 might be delayed until the beginning of next year. “Our goal is to release this game at the end of 2021. However, the development process continues, and we cannot be sure that the release schedule will not change,” explained Michal Nowakowski, the company’s vice president for business development.

Nowakowski also noted that CD Projekt RED could not guarantee the release of the update on time, as the company has learned the lessons that it learned from last year’s problems with the delay of the game.

In addition, the appearance of the update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may also be delayed. However, this is because specialists from another Sabre Interactive team are working on the update.

Earlier, representatives of the Polish studio said that they are currently working on updates for the games. “The next-generation version is an important step in our adventure in the Cyberpunk universe,” said Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt RED.

The first addition for Cyberpunk 2077 was released at the end of August. Patch number 1.3 has become available on all platforms on which the game is presented-PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Google Stadia service.
