The press secretary of the US Embassy in Russia has become Jason Rebholz

His predecessor, Rebecca Ross, left Russia, as she was included in the list of declared persona non grata American diplomats.

Jason Rebholz has been appointed Press Secretary of the US Embassy in Russia. He wrote about this on Twitter on Monday.

“I look forward to working with Russian and foreign journalists to defend American policy toward Russia and promote media freedom in my new role,” he said.

Rebholz’s predecessor, Rebecca Ross, left Russia because she was included in the list of American diplomats declared persona non grata in the Russian Federation.
