The Perseverance rover was unable to collect a sample of Martian soil

The Perseverance rover failed to collect a sample of planetary soil for the first time; the failure will be analyzed by scientists, the American space agency reports.

“The data sent to Earth by Perseverance shows that no rocks were collected during the first sampling attempt,” the message posted on the NASA website says.

According to the data from the rover, the sampling system worked as planned, but telemetry showed that there was no soil in the test tube as a result of the operation.

NASA reports that a special group will analyze the situation.
