The Pentagon said that there are many Russian troops near the borders of Ukraine

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that many more Russian troops are at the borders of Ukraine, despite the withdrawal of forces.

“There are still many troops there… It is still not clear exactly what their intentions were,” Kirby told reporters.

Earlier, the United States and other countries expressed concern about the growing number of Russian troops near Ukraine. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered until May 1 to return to the places of permanent deployment of troops involved in the exercises in the south of the Russian Federation.
