Heidi Grant, Director of the US defense cooperation and security Agency, noted that Washington is ready to maintain its position in this segment.
The United States has no intention of increasing arms sales, but it is ready to maintain its position in this segment. This was announced on Thursday by the Director of the Agency for defense cooperation and security of the United States, Heidi Grant, during a video conference at the American Institute for the Middle East.
“There is no additional pressure to increase sales. I expect the importance of this mission to continue,” she said when asked about possible pressure on her Department from the US administration in the face of competition with Russia and China in this segment. Grant noted that the United States intends to maintain its position on arms sales, as its international partners are interested in buying American weapons. She added that the Agency would continue to support American arms manufacturers on the world market.
Grant took over the US defense cooperation and security Agency in early August, her first public appearance since taking office.
