The Pentagon did not deny the presence of hypersonic weapons in the United States

The Deputy Head of the Pentagon for procurement and technical support, Alan Shaffer, did not deny the statement of US President Donald Trump that Washington has “super-fast,” that is, hypersonic missiles.

Earlier, Trump said that the United States has a large number of “super-fast” missiles that fly several times faster than conventional ones.

“We are developing a large number of hypersonic missiles. I will not contradict this or agree with this (statement),” Shaffer said.

Officially, the United States did not declare the presence of hypersonic weapons, recognizing only the conduct of development in this direction. At the same time, trump, like his now-former national security adviser John Bolton, hinted that Russia extracted these technologies from the United States during the Obama administration.
