The Pentagon announced mandatory vaccination of military personnel

Earlier, President Biden announced that federal employees should be vaccinated or undergoes regular testing.

The Pentagon announced that vaccination against COVID-19 would become mandatory for 1.3 million people on active military service.

“We will go further by making this vaccine mandatory,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said at a briefing.

“We are preparing instructions for the armed forces,” he added. “The timing of the completion of vaccination, in other words, how quickly we want to carry it out – we are working on these instructions right now.”

The Pentagon’s announcement came after the Food and Drug Administration gave full approval for the use of Pfizer’s vaccine for all people over the age of 16.

President Biden previously announced that all federal employees must be vaccinated or undergo regular testing.
