The operator announced the completion of the laying of the first line of the “Nord stream-2”

Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline project, will start commissioning on its first line after connecting its sections, and then continue work on the second line, the company’s press service told.

“The laying of the first thread is completed today. The laid sections need to be connected, and then the necessary commissioning works need to be carried out,” the company said.

“Work on laying pipes on the second line will continue,” Nord Stream 2 AG added.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the laying of the pipes of the first line of the “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline has been successfully completed, work with the second line continues, and Gazprom is ready to fill the “Nord Stream-2” with gas.
