The Olympic champion criticized the US team in the 4-100 relay

Nine-time Olympic champion American Carl Lewis criticized his compatriots who failed in the qualification of the 4-100-meter relay at the Tokyo Games.

According to the expert, the runners from the United States made too many mistakes, so they failed to make it to the final stage.

“In the men’s relay, the US team did everything wrong. Mistakes in the transfer of the wand, starting from the wrong foot; obviously, there was no leader in the team. An absolute failure. This is unacceptable for the national team; they were worse than the children from the amateur association,” he wrote on Twitter.

American track and field athletes ran the relay in 38.10 seconds, which was the sixth result. The US team failed to make it to the final of the competition.
