A resident of the island of Hokkaido Masadzo Nonaka, who was previously recognized as the oldest man on Earth, died on Sunday at the age of 113 years. This was reported by the Agency Kyodo.
The Japanese died in his home in the village of Acero.
Nonaka was born in 1905. In recent years, he lived with his grandchildren at the foot of mount Meakan in the North of Hokkaido. His descendants run a small hotel on the hot springs Nonaka Onsen in the area.
It is noteworthy that in the ranking of the oldest people Nonaka took about 30th place. All positions before him belong to women.
