The number of victims resulting from an airstrike on a car in Kabul, carried out by the US armed forces, has increased to 12, Al-Jazeera TV channel reports.

The US military reported that it struck a car; it was destroyed on Sunday by an American drone in the Afghan capital because it carried a large number of explosives and posed an immediate threat to the Kabul airport. Later, CNN reported that nine civilians, including six children, were killed in a strike from an American drone in Kabul.

According to the statement of the Central Command responsible for the operation, the target was associated with the terrorist group “Islamic State – Wilayat Khorasan,” which the United States blames for the recent explosion at the airport that killed 13 American servicemen.
