The number of COVID-19 victims in the world exceeded 400 thousand

According to Johns Hopkins University, the number of deaths worldwide as a result of infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus has exceeded 400 thousand people. The Worldometer portal records 402.5 thousand deaths.

The number of deaths in the world, according to the University, leads the United States: 109.8 thousand. Next are the United Kingdom (40.5 thousand), Brazil (35.9 thousand), Italy (33.8 thousand), and France (29.1 thousand). Russia ranks 14th with 5,8 thousand (according to the Russian operational headquarters, 134 people died in the last day, and a total of 5,859).

In total, more than 6.9 million people are infected worldwide, according to the University.
