The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the United States increased by 43.7 thousand per day, more than 850 people died, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from Federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other open sources.

According to the University, the number of cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours has increased by 43,752, and another 857 patients with the confirmed disease have died.
A day earlier, these figures were 42,812 and 946, respectively.
