The number of cases of coronavirus infection in the United States is close to 9 million

The country has an average of more than 75,000 new cases per day.

282 days after Washington state recorded the country’s first case of coronavirus infection, the United States came close to nine million cases on Friday.

More than half a million people have fallen ill in the past week alone.

More than 20 states have reported record rates of disease growth.

Patients are sent to field hospitals in El Paso and the Milwaukee suburbs. In Chicago, due to the aggravation of the epidemiological situation, new restrictions were introduced for businesses. No state has recorded a steady decline in the number of infections.

“It is impossible to imagine this in a rosy light. We are facing an acute crisis, and there is a real danger for you, your family members, your friends, your neighbors,” said Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers.

The country now has an average of more than 75,000 new cases a day. According to this indicator, the current period is the most unfavorable since the beginning of the pandemic.

The death rate, which lags behind infection statistics, remains well below the spring level but is growing every day and now stands at about 780 people.
