The new electrolyte flies 500 km on a single charge at a speed of 400 km / h

The American startup Urban eVTOL has created an electric jet that accelerates to 400 km/h and can stay in the air for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The first version of the Leo has 16 engines housed in box wings. Three pairs of motors are in the front, and the other five are in the fenders at the back, while separate pushing motors at the rear of the craft will provide thrust.

According to the description of the electrolyte, its battery is divided into sections: in the front there is a battery for backup power, and in the rear there is a removable main traction battery.

The new Leo aircraft with vertical take-off and landing will be able to land in an area of ​​just over one parking space.

With such characteristics, the developers say, Leo will fly 480 km at a speed of up to 400 km / h: the maximum time in the air is 1 hour 15 minutes, plus the take-off and landing time, which takes six minutes.

For landing, Leo is developing a special inflatable chassis called “cat’s paw”, it will reduce the impact from landing and allow the device to stand steadily even on uneven surfaces.
