The new Apple iPad tablet will be the first to receive a mini-LED screen

New Apple tablets of the iPad Pro line will be equipped with displays made using mini-LED technology. This is reported by the publication DigiTimes with reference to the Chinese manufacturer of components.

Suppliers have already launched the production of new mini-LED matrices, which are designed for the iPad Pro 2021. If the information is confirmed, Apple’s tablets will be the first compact devices with next-generation screens. Now such displays are used only in televisions.

Mini-LED technology is devoid of the main drawback of OLED displays — LED burnout. Also, the solution gives an increase, in contrast, increases maximum brightness, and improves energy efficiency.

It is expected that the new generation of iPad Pro will be presented at the first Apple presentation in 2021, which may take place on March 23. The tablets will receive two diagonals (11 and 12.9 inches), a 5-nanometer Apple A 14X processor, and support for working in mobile networks of the fifth generation.
