As noted, there is a link between Alzheimer’s disease and the diet of patients. Therefore, to reduce the risk of developing this disease, certain products should be excluded.
In particular, it is recommended to abandon the daily consumption of pastries, sweets, and carbonated drinks, as it is claimed that they can cause inflammation in the brain and damage to nerve cells.
The authors also urge to approach the use of spicy food and spices with caution because of the capsaicin contained in them, which reduces mental abilities and negatively affects memory.
According to the newspaper, fried food and fast food are among the products that pose a danger to the brain due to the high content of trans fats, which cause a decrease in brain activity.
In addition, it is claimed that preservatives, salt, and saturated fatty acids, contained in large quantities in sausages, meat products, and cheese, are extremely dangerous for the brain. According to the publication, they cause inflammation in the brain and damage blood vessels.
