The meeting of Biden and Zelensky will be held on August 31

The meeting of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and U.S. President Joe Biden will take place on August 31; the “face-to-face” format is also provided, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said at a briefing on Thursday.

“In connection with the expansion of the elements of the program of the visit (Zelensky to the United States), the meeting of the heads of state of Ukraine and the United States, Presidents Biden and Zelensky will be held on August 31. We have agreed from the United States to postpone this date by one day, in particular, because the format of the meeting of the presidents has been expanded and will now include not only a meeting of delegations but also a meeting in the “face-to-face” format,” Kuleba said. The broadcast was conducted on the page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to him, Zelensky also intends to visit California during his visit to the United States.

“No president of Ukraine has ever flown so far to the United States before, never visited another U.S. coast in the Pacific Ocean, although IT is in the state of California that IT companies, the high-tech space industry is concentrated, and this is exactly what Ukraine has strong trump cards in. That is why the president will visit the state of California to create new opportunities for cooperation between the United States and Ukraine in these areas and attract new American investments in the Ukrainian economy,” Kuleba said.

Earlier, Kuleba said that Zelensky and U.S. President Joe Biden would discuss three blocks of issues during a meeting in Washington at the end of August: political, economic, and security issues.
