The fourth season of Stranger Things is one of the projects hardest hit by the coronavirus. On February 14, the directors of the series, the Duffer brothers announced that they were ready to produce the new season. A few weeks later, on March 3, the cast was assembled to begin filming. And on the 13th, Netflix stopped all projects due to the danger of coronavirus infection.
However, the writers of the series used an unplanned pause in order to continue working on the script. And in mid-June, it was reported that the scripts for all episodes of the season had received final revisions. The season is expected to consist of eight episodes.
Since then there has been no news. Until the other day the portal Deadline received inside information that filming will resume in Georgia on September 28. Netflix declined to comment on it.
The official description of the new season reads:
Not good news for our American (Hopper). He was imprisoned far from home, in the snowy desert of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers, both human and … others. And at home, in the United States, at this time, a new horror begins to wake up, something buried long ago that connects everything. This will be the largest and most frightening season. We can’t wait for it to come out. Until then, pray for the “American.”
