The main reason for Prince Harry’s quarrel with the royal family is named

A source at Buckingham Palace named the main reason for the Duke of Sussex’s quarrel with the royal family. This is reported by The Sun.

An unnamed insider of the tabloid, close to the court, said that the reason for the “attack” of Prince Harry on relatives was the message about the deprivation of his military ranks.

According to the source, this caused a major quarrel between the Duke of Sussex and his family, after which the prince agreed to a scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey “within 24 hours.” “Harry really valued his position in the armed forces, as he really participated in the fighting,” he said.

Prince Harry, 36, served in the Army Air Corps. From December 2007 to February 2008, he served as an air gunner in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, and from September 2012 to January 2013, he participated in military operations in southern Afghanistan. The Duke of Sussex retired from the armed forces with the rank of major.

In addition to the rank of retired major and other honorary military positions, Prince Harry held the title of Captain-General of the Royal Marines.

In February 2021, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle would not return to their duties as senior members of the British royal family. At the same time, Queen Elizabeth II stripped Harry and Meghan of the status of patrons of some institutions and charities and took away the prince’s remaining honorary military titles.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with Buckingham Palace finally soured in March 2021 after a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the Duchess of Sussex hinted at the racist sentiments of some members of the royal family

  1. What a baby! I am unaware that he achieved the rank of Major. I did hear that he was not able to advance because he couldn’t pass the levels to advance. Ergo, he was discharged. I’m sure the Royal Family would have supported him remaining in a military career, serving actively.

    • Spoiled brats both! People catering to their wishes & desires makes them as big of egomaniacs as Oprah. She convinced herself she was something special on a stick. She was down to earth so women liked her. She like Harry changed completely when the Obamas became friendly & Harry when he became taken with Megan.

Both have let very bitter blacks influence their personalities. Oprah has said she is disappointed in her white audiences but guess who made her feel that way? Same with Harry who seem to have a wonderful relationship with his entire family until Megan insisted they treated her poorly. The world knows Oprah is 100% wrong as well Megan. Oprah’s fans will never feel the same about her after her prejudice remarks & bitter attitude instilled by Obama’s comments. Harry will never hold a warm place in the UK because his grandmother adored him but he & Megan cut her to the quick.

    • I’m sure he could have advanced. For a royal to go into the combat zone is something that should be respected if you like him or not. A combat zone is not an easy place. I’m been a member before I’ve worked with those who have PTSD it’s not a piece of cake assignment. Need to thank him for his service and your freedoms. All Veterans should be respected!

      • Agree totally. Leave them alone. They are both trying to build a life for their two precious children. William, Kate and all the other whiners are pathetic people. Harry has more common since in his little finger then Charles, William. He is sensitive I’m not afraid to show that side of him. He loves his brother very much. I believe one day they will find their way back to each other if people and the firm just back off.

        • Well it’s a shame that Harry didn’t appreciate his family a bit more. The ONLY whiners here have been Harry & Meghan. And it’s a shame that if Prince Harry hated his Royal life, then why didn’t he look for another form of employment? He could have and should have. But he didn’t, as he was fine letting the taxpayers of Britain lay his way. But surprise, they don’t want to fund the life Markle wants. Even the Queen said she would allow Meghan to continue to work as an actress, but not wasn’t what Meghan wanted. So they go off and start a foundation and started to hustle for ways to make money. I have NO problem with them making money, but NOT at the expense of the Monarchy. She came off fishy to me to start with and now, she’s proved that my instincts were on the money.

They both need to grow up!! If they had stayed on as working Royals, they wouldn’t have all this mess, but why expect the Royals to continue to fund their lifestyle??

And to others here, many of Harry’s military honors were just honorary and given in good faith by Her Majesty and those were taken back.
She didn’t and couldn’t (well why would she?) take back honors bestowed on Harry during his service to his country, and earned while on military duty, only the ‘honorary’ (those given by the Queen, as fit for a Royal member of the family.

      • laurie, everything you wrote is completely wrong. these two are narcissistic freeloaders and Harry is the dimmest of bulbs. pls do yourself a favor and get your information from someplace other than social media. the army was less than happy with his performance even though he was given promotions (as are many royals) without strict regard to their performance. read, read, read; skip the crap we are all fed.

  2. The fact that Harry served in Afghanistan, a war zone at that time, I was aghast that he was stripped of his military titles! What a travesty!

    • Were he a commoner would he have attained that rank at all? He wanted to sever all ties with his place in England- Done. If an American soldier had made that request, would he still be a Major?

      • He got what he deserved he wanted to cut his ties he got it he would not have done any of this had he not met the trash that he married All she is doing is right producing as much as she can so that when he divorce is her she’ll have the Children to hold over his head and dangle in front of him. He needs to realize the careful what you ask for

    • I’m sorry, but if one chooses to leave the Royal Family, YOU lose all titles. Period.
One can’t have it both ways!!!!

    • He left his country. How can he advocate for the British soldier when he is an American in everything but name….and believing the 2nd amendment is “bonkers”. He served active duty (some would call it) for a year, but he can’t possible represent them now.
He supposedly got the idea for the InVictus games from the games the American veterans carry on every year. That’s great but even Americans would be upset if the guy who started our games took odd and moved to a different country. Claiming he wanted peace and quiet with his new family.
A perfect example would be if Chris Kyle had started his foundation for American vets but decided to call Mexico home.
He not only called Mexico home but he trashed his family, didn’t tell then where he was going or what he was doing.
      No he lost that right.

    • He was stripped of his honorary military titles that were previously held by Prince Philip, not his military status that he earned. If you don’t live in England, you can support the troops from afar.

    • Correct me if I’m wrong, but he has his military achievements, and all were able to wear their military medals to Prince Philips funeral. The Hobart titles and patronage’s were removed because he resides in the US and no longer a working royal. I’ll have to look back and see if he work his ribbons.

  3. Other real soldiers who were there stated that he was never in real danger and was babysat which makes sense. Does anyone really believe that the grandson of the queen of England would not be protected?

  4. They should have not stripped him of his metals. He earned them, I am team Meghan & Harry. I think the others are just stuffy. They killed Diana because she was trying to live her life shame on them. There is not one of those Royals that does not have something in their past. Charles committed adultery, Andrew was with an underaged girl, Camilla kept her affair with Charles Even though she knew he was married and the list goes on. People who do not live in glass houses should not throw stones, Let Harry and Meghan enjoy their family.

The royal family is just pissed because they got called out on their behavior.

    • #1 Diana was not killed by the firm as you seem to think, she was killed by a drunk driver. Which dear Harry wants to claim paparazzi cause her death, because they were chasing them. If the driver had not been drinking he might of had better control of the vehicle. Harry & Meghan choose their path, they want the world to feel for them, and pretend that they were escaping the UN for the US, but yet they want the titles for their children so they can be the Prince and Princess of America. No thank you!!!

    • They royals weren’t mad. They had no idea what he was doing. He didn’t want to be any part of the Royal “to do”.
They claimed they wanted a peaceful life away from royalty.

  5. The royals took something away from him that they had no right to do. Harry is the one who served, fought and achieved his status in the military and by him being stripped of his recognition of the achievements that were so important to him, they basically indicated to him that he was insignificant. His participation in the military has nothing to do with his life as a royal and the royals had no reason to strip him if that honor he had achieved. The royals should be ashamed of themselves for this action and also for insulting Harry and Megan over the color of their baby’s skin. I don’t blame the couple for not wanting to stay working for the royal family. They deserve a chance to live their lives with some sort of freedom from the rules and procedures of the monarchy. Would any of you wish to live your lives being told what to do every day and no ability to enjoy your personal ambitions?

  6. That family is so corrupt! No surprise. After all, it dates back for centuries. Camila is in position to be queen! Look what they did to Diana. No shock here that Harry is denounced to make the Palace look good. Give a group power and money and all hell breaks loose. Sad! I mean, look at the governments here and around the world, including the Pope! It’s all pretty pathetic. We the people are in the crosshairs of their corruption. May God Protect us.

  8. HRH, the Duke of Sussex (aka Harry) told the world he wanted out of the “official” duties, expected of him. He got exactly what he asked for. He and the wife complained about no titles for Archie, but as the son of a Duke, he can use Harry’s secondary title of Earl of Dumbarton.

  9. Charles is a rather disgusting adulterer. His wife is a whore yet he passes judgment on Harry? What military duties did Charles perform? He is a bloated figurehead that the commons pay for.

  10. It’s not easy for me as an American to understand the whole “royalty” thing. What makes the “ROYALS” so different than anybody else? Aren’t we all equal in the eyes of God? And just what exactly does “noble birth” mean? I was born in Des Moines, Iowa and my parents were hard-working public school teachers who raised 4 kids and put us all through 4-yr private colleges. I can’t imagine anything more “noble” than that!

America does not need, nor do we want a prince, much less one dumb enough to marry a B list actress, whom he’d should have been able to see through! He couldn’t because he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed! A major in 7 most?? Ya don’t say!!
