The Islanders beat Boston and tied the score in the second round of the NHL playoffs

The New York Islanders defeated the Boston Bruins in overtime in the second game of the second round of the NHL playoffs.

Josh Bailey (27th minute), Kyle Palmieri (32), and Jean-Gabriel Pageau (38) scored in regular time for the Islanders. Charlie Coyle (3), Patrice Bergeron (51), and Brad Marchand (56) scored for Boston. The victory for New York was won by Casey Cizikas in the 15th minute of overtime. Russian goaltender Semyon Varlamov blocked 39 shots for the Islanders.
