The IOC canceled the accreditation of Kristina Timanouskaya’s coaches

Belarusian coaches Yuri Moisevich and Artur Shumak have been deprived of accreditation for the Tokyo Olympics and expelled from the Olympic village due to the situation with track and field athlete Kristina Timanouskaya, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Twitter page reports.

As noted, in the interests of “the well-being of the athletes of the Belarusian NOC, who are still in Tokyo, and as a temporary measure, the IOC yesterday deprived the accreditation of coaches Shumak and Moisevich.”

The coaches were asked to leave the Olympic village; they fulfilled the requirement. Shumak and Moiseevich will have the opportunity to express their position. Earlier it was announced that the IOC disciplinary commission is investigating the actions of Shumak and Moiseevich, who is the head coach of the Belarusian national track and field team.
