The House of Representatives approved tougher sanctions against “Nord stream-2”

They will be included in the draft defense budget.

The US House of Representatives has unanimously approved amendments to tighten sanctions against the construction of “Nord stream-2” and “Turkish stream.”

They will be included in the draft defense budget.

The amendment passed by lawmakers is aimed at tightening existing restrictions on foreign citizens and companies that promote the sale, lease, or provision of vessels for laying pipes intended for the construction of Russian pipelines.

The draft military budget of the country itself must be approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Sanctions against the construction of gas pipelines were introduced at the end of 2019. In 2020, they proposed to tighten them.
