The former head of Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi alliance to meet with French investigators

The former head of the Renault – Nissan – Mitsubishi automobile alliance, Carlos Ghosn, is preparing to give evidence to French investigators. He said this in an interview published with The Wall Street Journal.

French authorities have been investigating the possible misuse of corporate funds by the former head of the alliance since 2019. “I was looking forward to it. I would like it to happen much earlier,” Ghosn was quoted as saying, adding that for this meeting, which he goes to voluntarily, he needed many hours of preparation with his team of lawyers. During the investigation, the French authorities froze the assets of the former head of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and his wife for a total of several million dollars.
