The Foreign Ministry of Venezuela: Caracas will be able to answer if the US decides to invade

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza said at a press conference in Moscow that his country is ready for a variety of scenarios, including to the US invasion.

“If the US prefers the military way, we are ready to resist – we have an army, police, our people, and we are ready to destroy any army, no matter how powerful it may be,” the Foreign Minister said.

At the same time, he stressed that he hopes that this will never happen, Caracas calls on Washington to dialogue.

Arreaza also noted that the number of Russian troops in Venezuela can be increased.

“Currently, there is a Commission of specialists on the territory of Venezuela, it can be expanded,” he said, adding that Caracas and Moscow need to exchange military and technical information, as well as to serve Russian-made military equipment, which is in service with the armed forces of the Bolivarian Republic.
In addition, Venezuela is counting on “intensive exchange of intelligence with Russia,” said Arreaza.
