Russia supports the UN’s position on the need to review sanctions in the context of the spread of COVID-19 so that countries in need can freely fight the pandemic on their territory.
“We also noted the appeal of the UN Secretary-General regarding the sanctions policy of several countries, unilateral sanctions, which are not a lifeline in times of global problems, but rather an additional anchor for those who need to stay afloat,” she said.
Since March 25, starting from 18.00 to 6.00, the Syrian authorities have imposed a curfew throughout the country. By the decision of the government, transport links between the provinces have been stopped, and all places of mass gathering, including cafes and restaurants, have been closed. Air traffic has been stopped and land borders have been closed. Citizens are encouraged to stay in their homes and take to the streets only when necessary.
