The flagship Sony Xperia 1 III declassified before the announcement

A Chinese insider has published detailed specifications for the new flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1 III.

So, the device should be equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display. Like the current generation, the new product will have a panel without holes and cutouts. In addition, the screen will receive 4K resolution, HDR support, a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Naturally, the device will be powered by a 5-nanometer Snapdragon 888 platform paired with 12/16 GB of RAM and storage up to 512 GB.

The main camera in the smartphone will remain triple, but will receive other modules: a 64 MP main sensor, a 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP periscope with support for 60x zoom. The new product is also credited with a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast 65-watt charging.

Sony Xperia 1 III should be presented at the presentation on April 14th. The smartphone will cost over $1,000.
