During the 72nd annual Emmy Awards, the first trailer for the Marvel series WandaVision was unveiled. The exact date of the premiere was not indicated in the trailer, but viewers are promised that the series will be released this year. Which should delight MCU fans amid the transfer of numerous projects due to the coronavirus pandemic, including “Black Widow”, “Loki” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
The series “WandaVision” will tell about two superheroes – Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). After Vision is killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, it is revealed that he somehow survived. Now he and Wanda live a happy life in a quiet suburb. But the reality around them is not at all what it seems at first glance.
In addition to Olsen and Bettany, the series starred Kat Dennings, Teyonah Parris, Randall Park, and Katherine Hahn. It was directed by Matt Shackman and written by Jake Schaeffer. Viewers are promised a classic sitcom set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Olsen said about the upcoming series:
I am so happy for the fans, if they know the Scarlet Witch from the comics, then I think they will be excited about the new series. He investigates where the name Scarlet Witch came from and how she differs from Wanda. She used to be called Wanda in films, so it’s time to figure it out.
