Former Deputy Commander of the air defense forces of the Soviet Land forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Luzan, spoke about the goals of testing the Turkish military S-400 systems supplied by Russia.
According to him, this allowed the Turkish military to study the specifics of the use of SAMS. The tests also evaluated the effectiveness of the Russian system. Also, according to the expert, the Turkish military estimated the complexes for weaknesses. The media previously wrote that the Turkish army had begun new tests of s-400 anti-aircraft missile systems against American f-16 and F-4 fighters at the Muirted airbase.
“During the test of s-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, the Turkish military detected aircraft and conducted so-called electronic launches on them. This allows you to simultaneously study the features of the application, evaluate the effectiveness, and perhaps another goal was to find the weak points of the system,” Luzan said
